THE EARTHLING'S VOWS

Seeing Before Marking

My eyes follow what is moving before my mind names what I am seeing.

Orienting Within the Turning

I place my body on the turning ground, beneath the moving sun and the Milky Way crossing the night, remembering that I am within the orbiting rather than the one being orbited.

Immersing in the Belling

I am within a conversation, receiving the belling of the natural surroundings: crows calling, grasses bowing, leaves trembling, dust rising, water trickling, birds winging, clouds gathering, and shadows crossing the ground—patterns of the Mother’s tongue.

Cross-participating

I breathe the sweet air as I am being breathed by Nature. I am because we are, and we are because Nature is. I enter by shared permission, allowing what happens between us to unfold through consensus.

Tending What Arrives

I wash, mend, plant, carry, build, feed, carve, sweep, and place what arrives within my reach, tending this moment, body, land, community, and craft through presence and slow care.

Returning into Togetherness

I return each day to my community and shared life—standing, walking, working, eating, singing, and resting with others. I practice togetherness as devoting

Staying with What Changes

I remain present in acceptance as light shifts, weather turns, bodies alter, and seasons carry the place onward. I do not rush to name, alter, stop, or repair what is unfolding within all.

Carrying the Living Forward

I pass songs, stories, gestures, practices, and work things from hand to hand, so that what has formed here continues beyond me.
