SINGING TO GAIA, THE MOON, STARS & THE WATERS
EARTH BHAKTI SONG CIRCLE
Each voice carries a capacity for resonance, shaped by breath, body, and relationship with the living Earth. In this circle, we gather to listen and sound—using voice as a way of meeting the more-than-human world through presence and attention.
Through simple chants and shared song, sound becomes a form of devotion and attunement to place. We honor the Great Mother across cultures—Gaia, Pachamama, Bhumi, Sophia—as expressions of a shared reverence for Earth as living presence.
No experience needed. Only presence and a willingness to listen through sound.
WHEN: On hiatus until Summer 2026
LOCATION: Taos, NM
BRING: Natural Offering for Earth (flower, fruit, etc)

The aim of chanting is not to chant, but to bring about silence – Sri M
I have such warm memories of my experiences in the chant and land art circles created and facilitated by Anja. She brings her deep artist and sculptor’s sensitivity, talent and feeling for working lovingly with the earth to creating her unique land art installations. At the same time, the chants and ceremonies she leads us in resonate in profound ways with the beauty, heart and sincerity of her earth sculptings. To experience Anja’s earth art and chant and ceremony offerings is truly a magical and transforming personal and collective experience.
The time I spent chanting with Anja was a transformational experience. The depth of her devotion to serving Mother Earth reflected in her Earth Altar creations, her profound teachings, and vast knowledge of spirituality, awakened me to the true power of ritual, ceremony, and the shared experience. I felt inspired by the elevated frequency created, and what we shared added meaning to my own spiritual journey. The meditative trance evoked through the harmonium and our chanting voices seeped deeply into my body and I discovered that the vibrational resonance of my own voice was deeply healing and grounding. I felt blessed to be guided by Anja in this way, as we deepened our connection to Mother Earth through art and song.
Earth Bhakti’s chant circle was profoundly grounding. Through shared song, I felt connected to the land, the ancestors, and a deep inner calm that stayed with me long after.
