An Earth Bhakti Pilgrimage of Origin

with a Journey to Inzalo ye Langa & the Itsalo Womb Circle
(October 2026 Pilgrimage)

South Africa: The Cradle of Humanity & Ancient Sun Temples

This Earth Bhakti Experiential Pilgrimage of origin is a rare opportunity for seekers, artists, healers, and spiritual practitioners from all backgrounds to immerse in the sacred landscapes of the origin of humanity and humanity’s consciousness — the place of Inzalo ye Langa (“Birthplace of the Sun”), the Bokoni sites of ancient stone circle temples, including Itsalo circle (One of the places where Credo Mutwa was initiated) and the ancestral White Lions of Timbavati.

Led by Anja Marais, artist, diviner, and founder of Earth Bhakti, alongside native guides, this pilgrimage weaves together ceremony, sound, and ancestral connection at one of the most potent energetic vortexes on Earth. Local wisdom keepers, Sangomas, and custodians of the land will join us to share their traditions, rituals, and healing practices.

As our world undergoes profound change, many people feel uprooted from their cultural memory and belonging. This pilgrimage offers an anchoring — returning to humanity’s oldest landscapes, to receive guidance and healing from both the ancestors of the land and the cosmic forces once honored here.

The Pilgrimage

During the journey, participants will visit and experience:

  • The Cradle of Humankind (World Heritage Site, Johannesburg): grounding the pilgrimage where humanity’s earliest ancestors walked.

  • Inzalo ye Langa (Birthplace of the Sun): visit the oldest stone calendar in the world. Ceremony and meditation at the ancient stone circle — including the Mother Stone called by Credo Mutwa, uMazisakazi).

  • Bokoni sites including the Itsalo Fertility Circle: a sacred initiation site associated with the womb of creation, where Sangomas have undergone initiations for centuries.

  • White Lions of Timbavati: an encounter with these rare beings considered star messengers by African traditions.

  • Ceremonies with Sangomas: guided rituals, healings, and ancestral dialogues with traditional healers.

  • Sound & Song Circles: guided by Anja, weaving song, chant, and sound resonance into the land and stones.

Participants will be guided in offerings, rituals of gratitude, and Earth-connected practices, receiving renewal, empowerment, and connection to ancestral memory.

Why Now?

  • Restoring Lineage Memory: Many feel a call to return to the root — the Cradle of Humanity — to remember who we are beyond borders, beyond time, and reconnect with the ancestral currents that flow through us.
  • The Legacy of the Sun Temples: These sacred sites carry the imprint of ancient cosmologies, including alignments with Sirius and the myths of the Annunaki — stories of beings who once walked the Earth and shared knowledge of the stars. Now, more than ever, these celestial connections offer guidance for awakening humanity to its deeper purpose.
  • Returning to the Earth: This pilgrimage is a conscious step into the wisdom of the Sacred Feminine, honoring the cycles of life, birth, and renewal. By standing on the stones where it all began, we are reminded of our responsibility as stewards of the Earth, to protect, nurture, and carry forward the sacred legacy of life.
  • A Rite of Belonging: This journey is not tourism. It is a rite of passage — a return to alignment with the Earth, the ancestors, and the cosmos — inviting each pilgrim to rediscover their place in the eternal story of life.
